Short: Lib X11 examples Architecture: m68k-amigaos Hi! These programs were downloaded from public.x.org some days ago and I have used them to test my libX11.lib, and after a couple of changes (a lot actually..) I was able to compile and run them without changing a single line of code in the original source! How useful is this? Beats me, but I find it immensly amusing! I have added a couple of snapshots from the same programs compiled and run on a X11 workstation. And the observant viewer may notice a couple of slight differences.. So what next? I thought I may make a buck or two from this libX11.lib, and a couple of questions arises: How good does it have to be before anyone would want to register it? And how much would you be willing to pay for it? Registering a link library may sound rather strange, is there any other options that may be worth considering? (and no. I won't release libX11.lib free of charge. I don't currently run a software charity organization, nor is it likely I will do so in the near future. (being unemployed and broke..)) But I will continue to improve the library and trying to compile other programs. Status on some other programs I am working on: Xanim is SLOW!. And there is still a couple of functions that need to be improved in order for it to show all anims correctly. Since it is so slow an alternative use of the program is to make it into a converter by saving each frame as they are shown on the screen. Xv: still waiting for a word from John Bradley (preferably yes..) in order to upload it to aminet. Fractint: Dead or alive? Hard to tell..(uploading 2.6 along this upload) I can be reached with email: terjepe@stud.cs.uit.no or directly by mail: Terje Pedersen Oterveien 55 9017 Tromsoe Norway TP 31/10/94
